Kashi Found to Contain GMO's
Just when you thought you where eating something healthy, you find out your not..and its all because your foods have been poisoned with GMO's.
Kashi claims to be a healthy and safe cereal, but things are not always what they seem. Kashi is owned by Kellogg Company, one of the biggest cereal companys in the world. Kellogg's cereals are full of pesticides and GMO's. Kashi isn't an exception. Kellogg Does not put their name on Kashi products, and they mislead consumers to believe they are a small company, even though they are owned by on of the nation's largest cereal companies.
Most of their cereals contain hexane-extracted and genetically engineered soy products. A lot of their products also have GM corn flour,GM corn meal, GM canola oil, GM corn brands, GM soy grits.
All I have to say is I AM NEVER BUYING KASHI AGAIN.
Yeah they are "working" toward being non-GMO now, and they have 7 non-GMO products on the line. According to the Cornucopia Institute, the Non-GMO Project "enrolls" products before it verifies them as being non-GMO. if you go to their website and scroll to the bottom of this page and they say at the bottom
"Are foods that contain GMOs harmful to your health?
The scientific community has not established a causative link between GMO and any impact on human health."
Well if it is not a big deal why are they changing it now? Why would they work towards becoming non-gmo? Because Kashi markets themselves to people that are health conscious and I can say I'm health conscious and I avoid GMO's. Why? BECAUSE THEY DO AFFECT YOUR HEALTH IN A NEGATIVE WAY!!! There are tons of studies to back that statement up. Before I found out about GMO's my digestive health was horrible and every time I step of my diet...my digestive health becomes horrible all over again.
This all makes me really sad, just like a overweight person might grab the splenda to lose a few pounds not knowing its going to make their body more toxic. Really it makes me want to cry but instead I just threw away a box of Kashi cereal in my trash can.

VITAMIN :D AND TANNING!
You probably heard that tanning was bad for you and gives you skin cancer, but the truth is the sun is actually good
for you, and so is non burning sun exposure. 90% of vitamin D is made from sun exposure to our skin. 10-15 minutes a day is beneficial. Vitamin D deficiency is soaring, over 1 billion people worldwide are deficient, which is linked to osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, and other diseases. I don't know what you think about a person who is white as paper and a person with a tan, but personally...I think the tanner person appears healthier. Good luck tanning :D

Bladder Health and UTI

Hey guys, if you ever had a Urinary tract infection then you know how annoying it can be. Any bladder problems seem to take over your life, having to go to the bathroom non stop, or just feeling uncomfortable. Overactive bladder is also annoying. If you have overactive bladder or a Urinary tract infection there are a few things you can do, for frequent urination Valerian root is good if its caused by anxiety, raspberry's may also help with frequent urination. If its a Urinary tract infection then cranberry pills and cranberry tea with other supporting herbs may help..if your bladder area feels inflamed then ibuprofen can help with the discomfort and help to bring the inflammation down. so try those remedies and it should help a lot. If you drink cranberry juice make sure its made with real cranberry's, you can usually find the good cranberry juice at health food stores. ~erica
